Hemel Athletic Youth FC is built on the passion, commitment, and energy of our coaches and volunteers. Every training session, matchday, and event is made possible by people who give their time to help young players grow, learn, and enjoy football in a safe, positive environment.

Coaching Pathway
We support all our coaches — new and experienced — with clear development opportunities.
FA Playmaker (Free) A perfect starting point for anyone new to coaching. Covers safeguarding, matchday basics, and creating positive environments.
Introduction to Coaching Football (Level 1) The essential first coaching qualification. Teaches session planning, player development, and safe practice.
We help with:
- Course recommendations
- Funding support where possible
- Mentoring from experienced coaches
Safeguarding & Requirements
We are committed to providing a safe, inclusive environment for all players.
All coaches and volunteers must complete:
- Enhanced DBS Check
- FA Safeguarding Children Course
- FA First Aid / Introduction to First Aid in Football
- Club Code of Conduct (Players, Parents, Coaches)
The club will guide you through every step — it’s straightforward and fully supported.
